Honey This Friday

Amos Apiaries will be at the Winter Market this Friday (March 20) with their local honey. (Having honey outside in cold weather causes it to sugar, so Resa only brings her honey to the Winter Market when frigid weather doesn’t threaten its quality).

The Winter Market will be set up in its temporary open-air location just west of the Kneeling Miner from 11 am to 2 pm.

The market bakers will be there with pies, cakes, cookies, and specialty breads. The ranchers have beef, buffalo, elk, chicken and pork and Fair Haven Gardens are bringing pecans, jams and jellies.

Isadora’s Wonderful Things will serve avocado sandwiches and lentil and split pea soup with Jerusalem artichokes. They will also have garlic hummus with walking onions, nuts over peachy granola, macadamia nut carrot cake, and blueberry waffles for eating at home. They’ll have a soup recipe for folks buying Jerusalem artichokes.
